Wicked Crime tells the full story behind the crimes that make headlines and the ones that never did.
We cover murders, disappearances, cold cases, courtroom battles and the investigations that finally cracked them. Each story is built from the record: court filings, police reports, body camera footage, trial testimony and contemporary news coverage. Our job is to put those pieces in order so readers can follow a case from the first phone call to the final verdict.

How we work
True crime involves real people: victims, families, survivors and defendants. We write with that in mind. We say “allegedly” until a court decides, we do not sensationalise the deaths of real people, and we correct mistakes quickly and openly.
